Greetings All,
Twenty years! It has been 20 years since West End School began with three young men needing educational and communal support. Twenty years of our founding members providing both instructional guidance and striving to provide financial sustainability to assure young men living in the West End of Louisville, Kentucky had an opportunity to see past the common narrative from their community, to both educational and workforce development. The West End School has spent twenty years being a positive change agent for so many young men and the families they represent.
Now, with a current enrollment of 140 young men, and beginning fall of 2025, nearly 60 young ladies, we understand the role we have in impacting the trajectory of every young person we are privileged to serve, along with the community in which we reside. We now have over 100 alumni and many amazing young men in both professional and vocational fields. It is both our honor and privilege, but most importantly, our responsibility.
With that comes a responsibility to not only share our story, but to thank those that are supporting our journey and provide fiscal transparency to our community. While West End School has always had an annual successful audit, we have not provided an impact report. We want to start this best practice. Now that we have completed all audits, tax filings and reviews for the 2023-2024 School year, we want to bring you our first ever report so that you have more visibility on the impact of your donation. Please see this link to view the West End School 2023-2024 Impact Report.
We are beyond grateful for the generosity of our community. From business entities to caring individuals, we could not do what we do without the generosity of those that support our mission to give every scholar, no matter their culture, creed, or community, a chance to rise to excellence.
Thank you for all you do for West End School. We are changing Louisville, one scholar at a time.
Dr. Greg Ross
President and Head of School
