Because West End School does not charge students for room, board or tuition, local community support plays a critical role in the School's success. Generous support from individual and group volunteers, community organizations, friends, churches, synagogues, and corporations helps ensure that our students can live and learn in an environment that will foster their growth as leaders and in service to others. Please contact us if you would like to volunteer or bring a volunteer group to West End School.
West End School is listed on the National Historic Register. We are always on the hunt for volunteers with skills that can help us renovate and maintain our unique building. If you have experience in mill work, carpentry, plastering, plumbing, etc. and would like to help us, please contact us.
If you are interested in volunteering to teach during the upcoming school year, please contact us for more information.
Students are in study hall from 7:30pm-9:00pm Sunday through Thursday. Volunteer tutors can work with students on a variety of topics including: Reading, English, Math, History & Science. Please contact Matthew Howell for more information.
We are currently looking for volunteers to have an ongoing role in developing and maintaining a garden and outdoor learning environment in our central courtyard. This would be a special opportunity for a volunteer (or volunteers) that would be willing to take on a consistent role.
Our meals are provided by many dedicated, generous volunteers who prepare and serve us two meals a day, five days a week. If you're interested in cooking or bringing a meal to West End School, please contact Sandra Trager, our kitchen coordinator.
